Many people I come into contact with put off starting a home based business for one reason or another. They P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-E. The best way to stop procrastinating is to start out and do it step by step.
What are the steps?

Decide what kind of business you want to start. Consider your interests, skills, gifts, etc. and think about what type of businesses you could do using them.

Research the market for profit potential. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS You do not want to get into a field that doesn’t sell well.

Decide how you will do business. Will you offer a service or a product? Will you join with an existing direct sales opportunity or start you own business from scratch?

Decide how you will market your business. Will it be online or offline or a combination of both? There are MANY FREE ways to do this, so you don’t need to spend a lot on advertising.

Keep learning and marketing consistently!
Of course, these are just the very basics. But, as you can see, it is much more attainable if you break the whole “start a home business” idea down into steps.
Every year we watch a Christmas movie called “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”. There is a line in the movie that has always stood out and that is “courage is not the absence of fear, it is taking action in the face of it.” You have probably heard variations of that sentiment other places as well.
